RIP Street Culture

Fuck, where do I begin.. I guess I need to start with this, REAL street wear and fashion is disappearing quickly!  It's all turning into this "high fashion" bullshit that we see on stupid ass celebs and NBA stars.  Kids these days think of street wear as Kanye West or any of these other high profile "hipsters".  It's sites like Hypebeast that are overloading their internet only brains of this shit!  KIDS, this is not street wear!!!!!

Let me school you real quick on the origins of street wear.  Brands like Stussy and Vision are the God Fathers of the street wear culture.  (And yes I still rock the red Vision Suede highs and still have some ol school Stussy shiz!) It all started from skating and punk culture.  It came from bands like the Ramones, Sex Pistols, the Clash, even down to the Beastie Boys. Not from Hipster Hip Hop artists and trend setters with billions of $$.  It was the rebellious style that said "fuck society" and mocked the high fashion industry and brands like Chanel.  It's intentions were to speak to the youth and the people who were against the norm.

Now, street wear seems to be any brand that is endorsed by some famous hip hop artist that you see in stupid ass mags like People, Star, or National Inquirer, all while waiting to check out in the grocery line.  Kiddos, TMZ is not the place to search new styles and don't let sites like Complex and Four Pins trick you into something that ain't true!  They're just lists man.

I think there needs to be a new name for this kind of style so the title of "street wear" can't get more tainted than it already is.  Let's call it "High Fashion Hipster Wear" cuz the shit ain't street, that's for damn sure.

Case in point, Kanye's slingin a new "street" brand called #Been #Trill (yes, two words with #hashtags).  Shirts sell for a $100 a pop.  Yep, screen print a shit stained logo on a shitty ass Gildan shirt and bamb!  You got mad profit!

So, we will be getting down to the real street with some new up coming styles, mocking these douchey brands and people!  It will be a part of our "High Fashion is Killing Street Wear" line.

Here is what's in store:

Kanye West - R.I.P. Street Culture.  Here's to you Kanye and your wack ass trend setting ways!

High Fashion Street Culture - Cross out the fashion and the street and what's that spell??

You're So HYPEBEAST!  This design was inspired when we I saw a few kids talking shit to one another about how street they are and how OG their style was.  The mudslinging ended in "You're So Hypebeast" said the kid rocking a Supreme 5 Panel.

LMFAO! I HUF'D Your Supreme'o!!  I think you get what's goin down here..
Our spin on the supposed "street" brand Supreme.  High fashion is definitely for Suckers!!

Here's to you #LOFASHION! #BEEN Drinkin Ny#TRILL and I now I don't feel so good, sad face..  We should probably charge $100 for this super street design..

Damn it feels good to get that off my chest.  And if I just so happened to offend your Hipster High Fashion wearing, Kanye idolizing ass, then beat it.  You're not welcome here!

Your friend who is always keeping it real Shift'D,
B-Rizzle!

LAMA Live

All right folks, here's a shout out to our homies LAMA LIVE. They are a dope hip hop band straight out of Denver. Go on over to their ReverbNation page and hit that play button and enjoy!

If you have time to read their bio, here it is:
L.A.M.A Live was formed by what some would call accident, some fate. However you prefer to put it, there’s no doubt destiny lied behind it. The four members of the former “Free Electric Band” crossed paths with NAMM and Ha Boogie, hip hop artists for L.A.M.A Squad in New York at a Dollars for Diabetes variety show in which both acts were scheduled to perform. NAMM was short instrumentals for his set, and the Free Electric band was more than willing to try their progressive sounds with NAMM’s flowing rhymes and Ha’s pumped up hypes. With only a sound check to practice with, the groups successfully blended into a unique, catchy, mind melting sound now known as L.A.M.A Live; out to keep the world's party goin to sounds like it's never heard, and to prove a Little.Ambition.Makes.A lot.
